First of all, we like to emphasize that we are a father and son team, and all the work we do (with a few exceptions) we do ourselves. We have no employees. This is the only way, we have found, to fully guarantee the highest Quality craftsmanship your historic home deserves. In a nutshell, we do a small volume of work, but always at a very high level of Quality, the same kind of Quality that your home so richly exuded when it was new. Your home was built during the golden age of fine homebuilding, employing renowned architects and the most skilled artisan/craftsmen in the world. This period is also considered to be the golden age of American millwork.

Unfortunately, much of that beautiful millwork is now buried under many layers of old lead paint or varnish. Worse yet, much of that original millwork is rotting away from decades of neglect and/or has been damaged by incompetent housepainters, repairmen, or do-it-yourselfers. It’s hard for us to understand, but we believe many historic homeowners are completely unaware of the condition of their home’s millwork and the damage that has been done.
